LORETTO, PA- The Center for Student-Athlete Development and Academic Services hosted the ESLYs on May 1, 2019, its annual awards show recognizing student-athletes in all leadership development programs. The night was dedicated to celebrating the leadership, service, and impact of student-athletes involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Student-Athlete Mentors program, Bob and Sharon Krimmel Flash Leadership Institute, and APPLE Leadership Team. The newly expanded APPLE Leadership team recognized its C.O.R.E Members of the year. This award recognizes a member of the Leadership team who made outstanding contributions to the organization in the categories of: Community, Organization, Relationships, and Empowerment. Two student-athletes were recognized as APPLE Leadership Team C.O.R.E Members:

The Student-Athlete Mentors program continued its tradition of awarding its "Jenny" Awards, named after influential advisor and former Graduate Assistant Jen Fox. There are two Jenny Awards presented each year, Rookie of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Year. Additionally, the program recognized a member as the Brent Zierrer Unsung Hero and announced the 2019 Hall of Fame Class. This year's award winners were:

The Thomas Lill Outstanding Impact award, created in 2016, is meant to recognize a student- athlete who participated in most, if not all, of the leadership development programs run through the Center for Student-Athlete Development and Academic Services and has had a substantial impact in all of them. The last group recognized at the ESLYs was the Flash Leadership Institute. The program's namesakes and donors, Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Sharon Krimmel, came out to present each program member with a certificate of completion and personalized values plaque, handmade by Ms. Lauren Fearer.
