Coyne hires Amy McNally as assistant coach

Loretto, Pa. - Saint Francis first-year head lacrosse coach Tracy Coyne made her first hire, bringing in Amy McNally as an assistant coach.

McNally was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at Niagara, graduating in 2019.

"I am excited to welcome Amy to Saint Francis and the lacrosse staff," said Coyne. "During an extensive interviewing process, Amy emerged as the top candidate and best fit for our program.  Her energy, enthusiasm and knowledge of the game will be a true asset as we strive to compete for an NEC championship.  Amy's playing experience at Niagara University has prepared her well for this opportunity. She will bring new ideas and strategies to the defensive unit that will put us in a position to win."

A defender, McNally appeared in 63 games with 42 starts, finishing her career with 71 ground balls, 43 caused turnovers and 11 draw controls.

Prior to her time at Niagara, she was a four-time all-league player at Suffern High School, a three-time sectional champion and a three-time all-section player.

Saint Francis opens its 2020 season at home on Feb. 8 vs. Radford.
