Softball Alum Mikayla Arnold Joins Little League® International

SOUTH WILLIMSPORT, Pa. – Former Saint Francis University softball player Mikayla Arnold joins Little League® International as a Marketing Account Executive, the organization announced last week.

Arnold is a 2019 graduate of Saint Francis with a bachelor's degree in business management, specializing in entrepreneurship and small business development. She joins the Little League organization after two years with Ralph S. Alberts Company, Inc. as a Customer Service and Marketing Assistant.

"As I take the next step in my career, I could not be more thrilled to join the team at Little League International," said Arnold in a release by Little League. "I was raised in the game of softball, and it has and continues to be an outlet of purpose for me in both my playing and coaching. Now, I get to take a professional step in the field I have the utmost passion for."

As a member of the Red Flash, Arnold appeared in 180 games with 148 starts and hit .239 with a .303 on-base percentage. She produced 70 runs scored, 25 doubles, 20 home, 72 RBIs and 36 walks across 485-career plate appearances.

"I am beyond proud of Mikayla," said Saint Francis head coach Jessica O'Donnell. "She will do wonderful work for the Little League International Organization and I have no doubt she will make an immediate, long lasting impact on everyone she comes in contact with."

In her senior season, she was named Second Team All-Northeast Conference, CoSIDA Academic All-District and NEC All-Tournament Team. She was part of three-straight NEC Championship teams from 2017-19 during her career.

"This news comes as no surprise to me, as she is an amazing leader and motivator," said O'Donnell. "We are very proud of our Red Flash Alumni and the work they accomplish in the community. Congratulations to Mikayla and the Bower/Arnold Family."

During her time with the Saint Francis Shields School of Business, Arnold was the lead Scholarship in Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (S.E.E.D.). She was also a consistent participant in Saint Francis' business pitch fest and shared her business expertise with many small business clients.

"Her passionate and creative business pitches were always viewed favorably by the judges," said Dr. Randy Frye, Dean of the Shields School of Business. "The business school faculty is not at all surprised by her success after her time in Loretto."

As a member of Little League, she will assist with day-to-day management and operations of official sponsors and other marketing functions for the organization.
