LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's tennis freshman
Anoek Pruijmboom was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Pruijmboom, a native of Utrecht, Netherlands, won her singles and doubles matches in a 4-3 defeat of Towson to end Saint Francis' non-conference season. She won her No. 4 singles match in dominant 6-0, 6-1 fashion over Sarah Pospischill. With partner
Romina Cutipa, the duo defeated Antonia Lawson and Jessica Assenmacher 6-2 in No. 2 doubles.

The freshman leads Saint Francis with an 11-5 singles record this season and has played matches in No. 2 through No. 6 singles. She has an even 8-8 record in doubles this season with five different partners.

The weekly honor is her second recognition of the season as she was named NEC Rookie of the Month on March 3.
Women's tennis begins its five-match conference schedule with a trip to Emmitsburg, Md. where they will face LIU on Saturday, March 19 and Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, March 20.
