Saint Francis Swimming Looks Ahead To Trip At Siena

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> The Red Flash will look to keep the momentum going past holiday break as they travel to Siena for one of the last meets of the season.
>> Saint Francis is coming off of their best meet of the season with six first-place individual finishes against Millersville last weekend.
>> Aurem Pifarre just received her seventh career prime performer selection after two first-place finishes against Millersville.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash dominated the pool inside Stokes Natatorium on Senior Day last Saturday against the visiting Millersville Marauders. Sara Turner, Maddie Dando, Anna Bernasconi, Krysta Weik, Oksana Horova, Inde Patterson, and Pifarre all had first-place finishes on Saturday which is a season-high for the 2022-23 season. Out of the 14 events that took place the Red Flash finished first in 12 of those events, and this was after an extended break of not competing since November 20th, 2022.

WORD ON SIENA
Siena is located in Loudonville, New York as they are part of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference but have faced off against NEC competition such as Merrimack and Saint Francis Brooklyn already this season. The Saints are led by Rory Kalac who has the team-best times in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle events for Siena in her senior campaign. Siena currently has a 8-4 record this season with two more meets remaining until they prep for the MAAC Championships in the beginning of February.

LAST TIME WE MET
These two schools have competed against each other every year since 2008 with the Red Flash owning a 16-1 series record against Siena. In their most recent matchup last year, Saint Francis won 162-124 on Senior Day with six first-place finishes that helped guide the Red Flash to victory.

UP NEXT
The Red Flash will look forward to one more regular season meet against Pitt for the Western PA Invite on January 27th. The meet will last two days and it will be the last pit stop before the team gears up for the NEC Championships at the end of February.
