LORETTO, Pa. – After competing in the Colgate Invitational last weekend, swimming earned a weekly award and two Prime Performers.
Taylor Weth received NEC Rookie of the Week, joined by Sara Turner as Prime Performers.
Weth had a strong performance in her first meet for Saint Francis.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, she placed fourth at 1:08.07. Weth also placed fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke at a time of 2:28.62.
Turner had a solid showing at the Colgate Invitational.
She won the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:37.21. The junior also placed third in the 200-yard butterfly at 2:10.29. Turner finished seventh in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:29.13. In the 200-yard individual medley, she finished fifth at 2:13.68.
As part of the 400-yard freestyle relay, she helped finish 10th at 3:49.21.
Saint Francis returns to Stokes Natatorium on October 19 to face Millersville at 1 p.m.
