Women's Soccer Adds Eight To 2025 Signing Class

LORETTO, Pa.- Saint Francis women's soccer Head Coach Brian Diaz announced the additions of Meredith Artz, Hayden Barry, Kaitlyn Dempster, Angelina Kasak, Riley Kerr, Madeline Marretta, Isabelle Renner and Hayley Smith to the 2025 signing class.

"We are very excited about this 2025 class." Diaz said. "It was really a team effort with our current staff including Chyanne Dennis and the former head coach, Sara Butler, combining to recruit a talented class.".

Meredith Artz
Artz is a native of Monroe Township, N.J. and plays for Monroe Township High School. Artz has been productive in her senior season from the defensive midfield spot, tallying 17 points in eight matches this season. She has scored five goals and assisted on seven goals in 2024.

Artz is tied for her career-high goals and assists in a season. She scored five goals in her sophomore season and assisted on seven goals last season. She has tallied 50 career points from 15 goals and 20 assists.

Hayden Barry
Barry is from Downingtown, Pa. and plays for Downingtown West High School. Barry was a key member of a Whippets side that went 25-4 on the year and took home the PIAA 4A Women's Soccer State Championship in a 3-2 win over Conestoga on Nov. 16. 

Barry was a member of a Downingtown West back line that conceded just 17 goals in 29 games this season en route to their title win. Barry helped the Whippets allow just two goals during their playoff run.

Kaitlyn Dempster
Dempster hails from Oakland, Mich. and plays for Rochester Adams High School. Dempster, a defensive midfielder, helped her team secure the MHSAA District and Regional Titles with a 14-2-2 record back in June.

Dempster was productive from the midfield, scoring six goals and making two assists in 18 appearances for the Highlanders in their title winning season.

Angelina Kasak
Kasak is from Lemont, Pa. and attends Pennsylvania Charter Cyber School. Kasak plays for Keystone FC and played two seasons for Bellefonte Academy.

Kasak was unstoppable from the midfield during her junior season at Bellefonte, tallying 60 points from 24 goals and 12 assists. She helped lead the Raiders to a 14-4-1 record in 2023. She had 72 points in her two seasons with Bellefonte from 28 goals and 16 assists.

Riley Kerr
Kerr comes to Loretto from Greensburg, Pa., where she plays as a forward for Greensburg Central Catholic.

Kerr had a monster junior season for the Centurions in 2023. She tallied 40 goals and made 18 assists for 98 points. She had a total of 102 career goals entering her senior season.

Madeline Marretta
Marretta is the second Garden State product in the 2025 signing class, hailing from Colts Neck, N.J. She attends and plays soccer for St. John Vianney High School.

Marretta has produced plenty of points as a forward in her time with the Lancers. She has scored 17 goals and made five assists for a total of 39 points. Marretta has posted a career-high for goals and points in a season with eight goals and 18 points. She has matched her career-high for assists after logging two helpers in each of the last two campaigns.

Isabelle Renner
Renner arrives in Loretto from Wolverine Lake, Mich., where she attends Walled Lake Central High School. Renner is the second signee from the state of Michigan in the class. She plays for Walled Lake Central High School, where she helped the Vikings to a winning record at 9-8-3 last season between the woodwork.

Renner is the lone goalkeeper in the 2025 class.

Hayley Smith
Smith hails from Bargersville, Ind. and plays for Center Grove High School. Smith will be the first player in program history from the Hoosier State. 

Smith, a defender, has played 35 matches for the Trojans and has made two assists in 2024 for two career points. Smith has logged over 1,200 minutes over the course of those two seasons.

"This is a special group who has bought into the future of this program." Diaz said. "These young ladies will have an impact and continue the trajectory to current team has worked to establish.".
