Women's Swimming Earns Two Prime Performers

LORETTO, Pa. – Women's swimming received two NEC Prime Performers, the conference announced Wednesday.

Anna Bernasconi and Bridget Kurtzweil have earned conference honors this week.

In the 161-82 loss against Niagara, Bernasconi was part of the team's second-place 200-yard medley relay, finishing with a time of 1:47.15.

Individually, the graduate student placed second in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 53.65.

She also won the 100-yard individual medley at 59.32.

Kurtzweil was also a member of the second-place medley relay, boasting a strong individual performance as well.

The sophomore finished second in the 100-yard backstroke at a time of 58.52.

She also won the 200-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 2:09.51.

Kurtzweil's final performance of the day was a 1:01.65 finish in the 100-yard individual medley, good for third place.

Saint Francis will face Youngstown State on November 9 at 1 p.m.
