American most recently competed in the George Mason Patriot Invitational on Nov. 22-23, placing fifth of seven teams. Top competitors for the Eagles include Demetra Bicos, Isabelle McGovern, Amaya Tomma, Mimi Watts and Kate Williams.
Howard fell to Towson 174-67 on Wednesday night. Despite the loss, top swimmers for Howard included Samyra Benoit, Kali Garcia, Zuilda Nwaeze, Chanice Posada, Zaylie-Elisabeth Thompson and Gabrielle Vickles.
VMI is 2-4 this season, winning the Keydet Invite against Southern Virginia on Nov. 15-16, 148-101. Top finishers for the Keydets included Mackenzie Byrne, Emerson Cosner, Isabelle Haer, Noelle Tong and Walden Wilder.
LAST TIME OUT AGAINST AMERICAN, HOWARD AND VMI
Saint Francis has never faced American.
The Howard Bison, however, are a familiar foe, as the Bison are an associate member of the Northeast Conference in men's and women's swimming and diving. In last year's NEC Championship, Howard finished in second with 1157 points with Saint Francis taking fourth with 1094.5 points.
In a previous quad meet at Loyola in 2008, Saint Francis beat VMI 279-34.
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash competed in the St. Petersburg Classic Relays on Jan. 5, winning every event.
Reegan Brown, Taylor Weth, Maura Rubio and Anna Bernasconi won the 200-meter freestyle relay at 1:57.71.
Aurem Pifarre, Sara Blanco, Amalia Bradburn and Katie Webster took first in the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 9:36.36.
In the 3x100-meter butterfly relay, Laryssa Webster, Ava Silva and Sara Turner finished at 3:35.71 for the top spot.
Bridget Kurtzweil, Ryn Oram and Inde Patterson won the 3x100-meter, clocking in at 3:43.84.
Weth, Kathryn Tanis and Abby King claimed first in the 3x100-meter breaststroke with a time of 4:13.17.
In the 500-meter freestyle relay (50, 100, 150, 200), Brown, Webster, Pifarre and Turner finished with a time of 5:52.46 for first place.
Kurtzweil, Weth, Bernasconi and Rubio won the 200-meter medley relay at 2:12.27.
In the final event, Blanco, Morgan Moniz, Bradburn and Tanis earned first place in the 400-meter freestyle, clocking in at 4:26.17.
