LORETTO, Pa. (Oct. 12, 2009) – Stephanie Rivera (El Paso, Texas/America's High School) (El Paso, Texas/America's HS) picked up wins in both doubles and singles action to lead the Saint Francis women's tennis team past St. Vincent on Sunday in Ebensburg.

Rivera earned a win at No. 2 singles over the Bearcats' Emily Morris 6-2, 6-0.  Rivera then teamed with Devyn Sarver (Mt. Clemens, Mich./Fraser) to defeat SVU's Morris and Britt Vignero by a score of 8-1.

Sarver also picked up a singles win, claiming victory over SVU's Rebecca Cenker 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.

At No. 3 singles, Abby Ball (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) earned an impressive 6-0, 6-0 win over Vignero, while Samantha Fulchiero (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) defeated Alexis Cup at No. 1 singles by a score of 6-0, 6-4.

Fulchiero and Juliana Gustafson (Keyser, W.Va./Keyser) (Keyser, W. Va./Keyser) defeated Cup and Cenkner 8-6 in No. 1 doubles action.

The Red Flash will travel to George Mason on October 17.
