Swimming Travels to Wagner for First NEC Match

Loretto, Pa.- The Saint Francis swimming teams heads up to Staten Island to face the Wagner Seahawks in the inaugural NEC match of the 2018 season.

Wagner enters the meet with a 3-0 record as the Seahawks posted victories over Iona and two NEC conference foes in Sacred Heart and Saint Francis Brooklyn in the Iona Quad Meet.

Last time in the pool, Saint Francis won the Tom Stubbs Relays by taking five out of nine events against Bowling Green to avenge the opening day meet loss against the Falcons. Urska Medvesek (Maribor, Slovenia/Gymnasium Maribor) led the team by contributing to three first place finishes.

Last year, the Red Flash fell to the Seahawks by a score of 152-110. At the meet, Jessica Rupp (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) swam the nine fastest time in school history in the 200 Backstroke.

The meet starts at 11:00 am.
