Women's Tennis announces Lisa Swope as Interim Head Coach

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis University athletics has welcomed Lisa Swope as women's tennis Interim Head Coach. Swope brings with her a wealth of coaching and playing experience.

Swope coached both the girls' and boys' tennis teams for Central Cambria High School for the past eight years. During that time, several players acquired AA district titles in singles as well as doubles. The girls' team saw a district championship and two district runner-up finishes.

"I want to thank Saint Francis University for giving me this opportunity," Swope said. "I am extremely honored to lead the women's tennis program and work with an exceptional group of student-athletes. I am looking forward to the upcoming season and the future of this program."

Swope also coached Central Cambria High School cross county for the past five years. While there, both the girls' and boys' teams captured three district titles. The girls' squad captured AA state title and AA state runner-up.

Swope is a graduate of University of Akron and the University of Akron School of Law.  While there, she was a four-year starter on the women's tennis team. During that time, she held the record for the most singles and doubles wins and was team captain.
