SOMERSET, N.J. – The Northeast Conference announced its final weekly tennis awards of the 2021 season on Wednesday. Freshman
Dominique Yeo was named NEC Prime Performer for the third time this season as she previously also earned NEC Player and Rookie of the Month honors for the month of February.
Yeo won at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles as the Red Flash beat Slippery Rock in its regular-season finale. Yeo began the day with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles as Saint Francis earned the doubles point. She was the first to finish her singles match, winning at No. 1 singles in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. Yeo has won four of her last six matches at both singles and doubles as she finishes the regular season with a team-high 10 singles wins.
The Red Flash men and women begin play at the NEC Championships on Friday with the men playing Mount St. Mary's at 10 a.m. and the women playing Mount St. Mary's at 12:30 p.m.
