LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis swimming team celebrated Senior Day with a 166-89 win over Siena on Saturday at the Stokes Natatorium. The Red Flash earned a first place finish in all 14 events, led by three individual wins by junior
Katie Lafferty (Bremen, Ind./Bremen). Saint Francis improved to 9-5 in dual meets this season.
In its last home meet of the season, the Red Flash honored senior
Paige McLean (Bolton, Ontario/St. Michael Catholic Secondary), who earned two individual wins and contributed to two relay wins on the day.
The meet began as the Red Flash earned the top two places in the 200-yard Medley Relay. Freshmen
Aimee Baur (North Wales, Pa./North Penn),
Erin O'Neill (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and
Karilyn Quon (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol) combined with McLean for a winning time of 1:49.84.

Kristin Fisher (Lakevilla, Conn./Housatonic Valley Regional), freshman Tristen Toth, junior
Emma Karell (Norrtälje, Sweden/Täby Swim Club) and junior
Alicia Tiberino (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) teamed up for a time of 1:50.00 for second place in the 200-yard Medley Relay.
Lafferty's first individual win came in the 1000-yard Freestyle, as she posted a time of 10:50.33 to lead the field. Junior
Kasey Marks (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman) placed third, with a time of 11:36.46.
In the 200-yard Freestyle, Quon claimed an individual win, recording a time of 1:58.89. Sophomore
Amanda Crnic (Conway, Ark./Conway) finished fourth, with a time of 2:06.22, while freshman
Meghan Albertelli (Johnstown, Pa./Westmont Hilltop) was fifth, with a time of 2:09.07.
Baur came in first in the 100-yard Backstroke, posting a time of 59.95. Sophomore
Marisa Daly (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan) finished third, with a pace of 1:02.82, and Fisher placed fifth, with a time of 1:06.05.
O'Neill recorded a time of 1:07.06 to win the 100-yard Breaststroke. That is a new season-best for O'Neill and the eighth-best time in program history. Toth came in second, with a time of 1:11.28, and sophomore
Marrissa Walters (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School) was fifth, with a pace of 1:16.69.
In the 200-yard Butterfly, Karell led the field with a time of 2:10.28, a new career-best and the eighth-best time in school history. Sophomore
Rory O'Dell (Chapel Hill, N.C./Northwood) finished second, with a time of 2:15.65, while freshman
Teresa Narduzzi (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) was fifth, with a time of 2:28.66.
McLean's first individual win of the meet was in the 50-yard Freestyle, where she posted a time of 24.73. Tiberino came in second, with a time of 25.49.
Lafferty's second victory came in the 100-yard Freestyle, touching the wall in 53.33. Quon placed second, with a time of 54.55.
In the 200-yard Backstroke, Baur earned a win, with a time of 2:15.01.
O'Neill came in first in the 200-yard Breaststroke, posting a time of 2:28.35.
In the 500-yard Freestyle, McLean picked up her second win of the day, with a time of 5:21.78.
Lafferty claimed her third win of the day in the 100-yard Butterfly, touching the wall in 58.97.
Quon earned her second individual win of the meet in the 200-yard IM, with a time of 2:13.47.
The final event of the meet was the 400-yard Freestyle Relay, where the Red Flash earned first and third place.
The top finishers in the event was the team of Baur, Lafferty, Karell and McLean, who combined for a time of 3:44.88.
O'Neill, Crnic, Marks and O'Dell teamed up for a time of 3:51.97 to place third.
The Red Flash concludes the regular season next weekend at the Western PA Invitational, hosted by Pitt. The meet begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 28.
