Nick Leasure led the Saint Francis men’s basketball team in scoring for three consecutive seasons from 1976-77 to 1978-79. His high-water mark during that period was a 16.8 points per game average during the 1976-77 season. He shot a career-best 53.4 percent that year. Leasure was on two winning teams in 1976-77 and 1977-78, both finishing with identical 15-11 marks
 
Playing under head coaches Pete Lonergan and Dave Magarity, Leasure finished his career with 1,360 points and a 13.5 points per game average. He currently ranks 14th on the Saint Francis men’s basketball all-time scoring list. He shot an outstanding 91 percent from the free throw line during the 1978-79 season, making 63 of 69 attempts. It’s the highest free throw percentage in a single season in program history.
 
Leasure was the Saint Francis leader in field goals made for three consecutive seasons, including a career-high 201 field goals during the 1976-77 season. He was named SFU’s second-ever Eugune & Mary Turano award winner in 1979 for being the most outstanding men’s senior student-athlete.
